Started in 1994, Fifth Sun is a privately held design and manufacturing company of printed apparel that is sold to most national retailers. We thrive on the creative process, excellence in execution and building partnerships where all members can achieve their goals.
Our steady growth has enabled us to develop a company structure that allows us to react quickly to changes in fashion trends and the retail climate. We are heavily concentrated in product development and rarely use outside designers to maintain our quality and consistency. We are proud of the positive working relationships we have built with our existing license product partners.

You won't see a hundred licenses on our shelves because we don't subscribe to this shotgun approach to success. We try to achieve maximum potential for our licensors by not over extending our art capabilities and by devoting the energy necessary to develop creative products that follow their brand objectives. We will continue to push the creative envelope with all of our licenses because that is a key to our success. Good brands will get you on the shelf, but good execution of the brand will maximize your staying power.
Our distribution system consists of a shelf stock program for over 3500 independent customers along with many national specialty, mid-tier and mass retailers. The shelf stock program provides us with direct feedback on what is working and allows us to be more responsive to trends in the market. Our varied distribution channels enable us to introduce new products and licenses with great efficiency and success.
At Fifth Sun we work hard and play hard. We have a unique group of employees who take great pride in their work and community. Take a visit to Chico and you will find that Fifth Sun employees are active throughout the community, be it art work being sold at local restaurants and shops, musicians playing at local bars, or showing are concern for the environment by participating in Bike to Work Week. And when one of us has an event, you are sure to find many co-workers there to show their support.
Dan Gonzales, Fifth Sun's CEO and Chief Creative Director, founded the company with the goal to produce creative graphics that targeted the Hispanic market. Over the years our graphics and licenses have allowed for expansion to the style conscious masses. We currently design for men, women, juniors, boys, girls and have even been known to design the occasional onesie for the fashion forward babies.
